Frequently asked.
Is it a medical device?
No. Knaizen Health is a personal record keeper. It stores and charts what you enter or import, compared with target ranges that you set. It does not diagnose, interpret results, suggest doses or give medical advice. Always follow your doctor's guidance, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your phone, in an encrypted database. There is no Knaizen account and no Knaizen cloud copy. If your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) is on, it may include the app's encrypted files, as it does for any app.
Do I need an account?
No. Install it and start. There is nothing to sign up for.
What happens after the three free months?
You can subscribe for $0.99 a month or $9.99 a year. If you don't, you keep full access to view, export and delete your records, for free, forever.
How do I move to a new phone?
Export your records from the app to a file, move the file to the new phone, and import it there. Because nothing is stored with us, keep that export somewhere safe.
Does it work with my watch or fitness band?
If your band writes to Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), Knaizen Health can read that data. Some bands share only part of what they measure, for example steps and heart rate but not SpO2; you can always enter a reading by hand.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything works without a connection. The only times the app goes online are anonymous usage statistics (which you can switch off) and, if you have one, redeeming a voucher.
